Streatham Gospel Choir is a community gospel choir based in Streatham, bringing people together through music.
SGC is an initiative of Streatham Central Church, created to offer a welcoming space where people can sing and build real community.
Whether you’re new to gospel or have been singing for years, Streatham Gospel Choir is about belonging, growth, and celebrating together.

What is Gospel Music?

At Streatham Gospel Choir, we don’t just sing the songs — we also share the meaning behind them, helping everyone understand the message, context, and heart of what we’re singing. This helps deepen connection, confidence, and enjoyment, whatever your background or experience.

Streatham Gospel Choir is free to attend!
No. We teach the songs by ear.
Currently, the choir is only open to adults.
No – everyone is welcome at Streatham Gospel Choir, whether of any faith or none.
No. There are no auditions to be part of Streatham Gospel Choir, just a willingness to commit to the season of rehearsals and associated performances. Come along for the taster session and see if you want to join.
Generally, at seasonal events during Easter and Christmas, for example local carol services or community fairs. Family and friends are welcome to attend all performances.
